Raejean Imler French April 20, 2014 at 03:43 pm
Here we go again, non-believers insisting upon doing exactly what Christians and other religiousRead More people are accused of doing-prosthelytizing. Also, if this short-sighted character wishes all government entities to separate themselves from promotion or support of religious beliefs, that should also apply equally to her proud godlessness.

@'nonoise' April 20, 2014 at 01:17 PM... Hey! I get your noise! You continue to go further out, toRead More try to gain traction for your action for change of laws to your favor ~ have at it, though I will not instruct you as to viable methods of achieving your ungainly wants. Yes, I checked your ruse on ABC7 as asked to. I disagree, Ortiz' church should not be exempt from your overbearing as opposed to their messaging. We will always have that. But... thanks for underlining my response to 'Sean's original beef thrown back up in your response in balance. Your engaging in victimology negates, any sympathy from me and underlines why you are not gaining any consensus in your neighborwierd. Taking your cause to Brandon, FL does not lend inertia to your personal cause or wants in Northridge-Chatsworth, CA... but have at it. ¶ Your non-contextual 'win' against Father Ortiz' church is a victory you may keep and tout as connected, but I do not see it your way on balance.______________________________ 'Chris'... on another front, in your comment ~ 'atheist' is over-capitalized. But, have at it... though some believe, many atheists are couching their personal attacks against believers ~ under the guise of the First Amendment protections. What may be missing in the instance of the 'woman' denied her wants for '8theist' plate, is how the law for qualifying the wording may have been sidestepped or the personal wants of the DMV technician or examiner in that state. Much like, the flap(non-story) over the Stars 'n Bars commemorative plate recently. In that non-story, the lack of sensitivity is acknowledged for the few who take issue over the flap. I doubt, the plate was discontinued but the artist could have showed more sense... just as the examiners, could have raised issue - over previous flaps over the heritage aspect of the Stars 'n Bars on state issued items. If I have read 'Reajean Imler French's comment correctly, she raises(seems to) the viable issue that 'atheists' are imposing their brand of religion and elbowing for more prominence than they deserve. If so, I agree and little chance will present itself for capitalizing 'atheism' beyond their large 'A' followers short-sighted-ness. Out here in Left-coast California, when I see a Stars 'n Bars on a truck, car or hanging on a wall... I see respect for heritage first and always willing to wait for transgressions showing otherwise. Just don't see it from those who display the Stars 'n Bars! But, some nitwit can be expected to make issue and become vandalous based on their short-sighted-ness from the nominal courage of the display in this looney state(CA) ~ full of Liberals/liberals and illiberal actions('nonoise') alike. Sheeeish!... get a grip New Jersey!
Jessica Bailey, who promotes solar power at CEFIA, the state's "Green Bank" authority, was honored by President Barack Obama Thursday when he named her a "Champion of Change".
Anthony Powers April 20, 2014 at 03:59 pm
Here you go 51. never trust a progressive liberal democrat like Himes or especially Obama.Read More >>>Asia is one of the leaders in the use of solar energy and production of solar panels and there we are starting to see very real problems from the disposal issues surrounding solar panel manufacturing. Along with the rest of the waste the electronics industry generates, which is dumped in incinerators and landfills in developing countries, this is quickly becoming a serious environmental issue. These waste metals which are not disposed of correct can leach into the groundwater and result in toxins in crops grown nearby.
Anthony Powers April 20, 2014 at 04:04 pm
Mr Eastwood is correct. >>>The manufacturing of solar cells requires huge quantities ofRead More fossil fuels and much like with other electronics, there are waste metals which are produced during production and are currently presenting disposal problems. Some of these metals include chromium and mercury.
David Parsons April 20, 2014 at 04:21 pm
Coal has already released so much mercury into the oceans that pregnant women are advised to not eatRead More tuna fish. Sure, sure, sure. Everything is fine.

You really have to hand it to Fox News and the nutty radio shows. They've been brilliant. TheyRead More actually have people advocating Against their own interests: Not signing up for healthcare for themselves and their family, and actually supporting the CEOs who have the whole system way tilted in their own favor. Wake up folks. Remember how you were completely convinced that Romney was going to win by that same media machine? And before you start parroting the term left-wing maintream media phrase that you've also been convinced of wake up and notice that Fox News, the NY Post, the Washington Times, and the conspiracy-spreading radio shows are ALSO all mainstream media outlets, even larger by many measures. Or don't open your minds up and keep advocating for the $50 million dollar a year CEOs (as if $10 million isn't sufficient). I'm sure that they would do the same for you?

Kevin April 20, 2014 at 01:02 pm
No William, what she needs is about 50000 volts of electricity.Fry the fat yom up nice and crispy.
David Greenberg April 20, 2014 at 01:39 pm
So what you're saying william is that anyone who comes along and claims "PTSD",Read More "ABUSE", blah, blah blah should get a free pass? Why have laws then? The whole concept of making something a criminal act is that we want to discourage it from happening in the first place, by putting deterrents into effect. One such deterrent is PRISON, another is the Death Penalty. If this person was being abused, she had options BEFORE coming to this point - for whatever reason, she make a decision to kill someone, and a Jury of her peers determined her guilt. So off to jail she goes - hopefully FOREVER.

Igor April 20, 2014 at 06:03 pm
The more I think about it, the more disturb I get. Think about it. You go the supermarket. They wantRead More you to scan your own groceries. Bag your own groceries. They want you to put the money in the machine. Have they lowered the prices? No. Now when you go to fast food places they want you to do their job for them. Pour your own drinks. Do you get a discount? No. Seems to me the more places you go the more they want, you the paying customer to do their job for them. Put the soda machine behind the counter and do the work that you want the minimum wage increase for.
