Farmington Motor Sports was started in 1976 by the Vibert family and has been serving the Farmington community everMore since. It offers a full-service auto repair shop as well as 24-hour towing service to the greater Farmington area.</p> <p>Farmington Motor Sports is contracted to do all the maintenance for the Farmington Police Department's vehicles as well as the smaller Fire Department vehicles. The 8,000 sq. ft. shop is home to five car lifts and 18 employees. Tim Vibert, one of the co-owners, is also the fire chief of the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department and the president of the towing association for Connecticut.</p>

The Farmington Police Force, headed by Chief Paul J. Melanson, has forty-four officers patrolling Farmington andMore overseeing special projects. Youth Officer Sue DiVenere works with the town's youth, forming relationships and steering kids away from trouble. Joseph Capodiferro is a trained canine officer.</p> <p>Farmington officers use cruisers, unmarked cars, bicycles and ATVs to fight crime on-road and off, as well as at the Westfarms mall.</p> <p>Farmington police are also noted for cracking down on intoxicated driving, finding and prosecuting pedophiles and keeping our town safe.</p>
