First Church Farmington welcomes you to worship every Sunday morning at 10 am! We embrace our 360 year history thatMore includes our founding in 1652, the construction of the current Meetinghouse in 1772, providing homes for the Amistad Africans in 1842, serving as a hub of the Underground Railroad, funding the construction of Hope Day School in Freetown, Sierra Leone in 2006, and voting to become Open and Affirming in 2012. Our Christian education program includes offerings for children ages 4 through grade 8, as well as child care during worship, including an adaptation of Godly Play for our younger children. There are a variety of offerings and events at First Church throughout the year, including Faith Enrichment each Sunday morning and Wednesday at noon; Junior, Senior, and Handbell Choirs; Junior Pilgrim Fellowship youth group for grades 6 – 8; and Pilgrim Fellowship youth group for grades 9 – 12. Globally, First Church maintains connections to Hope Day School in Sierra Leone and Cristo Redentor in El Salvador. Locally, we provide space for the Farmington Food Pantry and participate in a variety of additional outreach efforts. Please visit our website for current information
