The farm is fronted by a farm stand, but young visitors love to greet the horses and donkey that live there. The 98-acre farm is currently operated by Patricia Krell, who has lifetime use of the property. Krell Farm was sold to the Town of Farmington as open space to prevent the property from being developed.

<p>According to Historical Society documents, the park was named for Alice "Clover" Pinney, who was an advocate for women's right to vote and was Unionville's first female voter. Pinney was also Connecticut's first female tax collector and a reporter for <em>The Hartford Courant.</em></p>
